Spring Break Fun
Spring break has been a bit disappointing this week as it has rained and snowed the entire time. We didn't get to go outside much at all, and spent most days lazing around the house. I took this photo the other day and thought it was so cute of all four of them lounged on the couch!
The other night Chandler INSISTED on wearing his shirt to bed. He was throwing a fit, but Daddy came up with a compromise, and we were all satisfied!

And here we have a growing girl and her very curious brother trying to entertain her with the mobile.
Poor Emilee was hit with the plague of the baby zits this week, right on schedule for one of my kids. Hopefully they will clear up before they get too much worse! It's always kind of sad when their complexions go from peaches and cream to peaches and pizza. . . You can't really see them in this photo. Look how chubby she's getting!

Aidan's Birthday Catch up. . .
Here are a few photos from Aidan's birthday celebration. . .
The present fest begins!!!
It started out like this, but quickly became. . .
Party Time!
After the Blazer game. . . he's so excited!
Chandler Strikes a Pose
Chandler was cracking us up last night! We had the camera out and he kept saying "Cheese!" and then pulling other faces as well. He would pull a face, wait for the flash, and then pull another. Gordon and I both had tears in our eyes we were laughing so hard before he was through! Maybe he has a future in modeling? (let's hope not!) You be the judge. . .

Rock-a-bye Chandler
Chandler has a rock in the chair with mom or dad before he hits the sack for his nap or for bedtime. Lately I've been feeling like he's been a bit jipped out of rocking because it seems like Emilee always needs something right when it's time for him to go to sleep. Poor kid! So, we've had to cut rocking short a few times. Last night though, Gordon rocked him for as long as he wanted, and he went to bed no problem, not a peep! Or so we thought! After about 30 minutes had passed, I remembered there was a bag of dirty diapers that needed to go out from his room, so I sent Gordon in to retrieve them. And this is what he found. . .
Apparently Chandler wasn't done rocking yet! He was so cute and cuddled up in his chair, we almost hated to move him, but we did, and he slept the rest of the night in his bed, or at least we think he did!

Hoppy Easter Hunt!
Happy Easter! Yesterday we had a great little egg hunt, just around the yard here. It was such a nice sunny day, the only one in a long time! We're back to rain today. The kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves, and Chandler was a good sport and wore the bunny ears for mama. (all 2 year olds should wear ears, don't you think?) He was quite the cute little rabbit! Hope your egg hunt was wonderful too!

Simple Pleasures
I was having a particularly bad morning this morning (due to lack of sleep I think - and the general feeling that there will NEVER be enough sleep no matter what I do). Anyway, I was trudging through the morning, and kissed Emilee on the cheek, and she looked straight at me and grinned! Not just an "I have gas and I'm half asleep" smile either. It was her first REAL smile. She smiled at me while I talked to her for about a minute, and then it was over. . . but it was just the pick me up I needed to get me through the morning. I'm looking forward more toothless grins soon!
Happy Birthday Gordon!
Well, we just keep trucking through "birthday season" here at our house. Gordon's was yesterday and we celebrated with a "traditional" strawberry-rhubarb pie, Gordon's favorite and what he always requests for his birthday. Aidan decorated the table with streamers. . . The boys had lots of fun giving him presents (lots of new running gear) and I had fun surprising him with a bike tune up and a new crank. (so he can actually ride it now!!!) When Emilee is old enough to go in the trailer we'll all be able to ride again, so we are excited for that! Happy Birthday Gordon!!!

Mr. Grown Up
How cute is Chandler coming down the stairs in his white shirt and tie? A couple of weeks ago he asked for "me tie!" while the boys were getting dressed for church, and I tried our smallest white shirt on him and it was a hit. He was so excited to wear a shirt like daddy, and a daddy tie, and this week we finally got him a daddy belt. He is the cutest little thing on Sundays! Here are the photo's of him coming down the stairs to show daddy on that first day, chanting "Daddy shirt! Me Shirt! Daddy tie! Me tie!" Love it!

10 Years Ago Today. . .
It all started with a little smoochin' on the couch. . .
Happy "first kiss" anniversary! Do you know our "love story?"
Gordon sent my roommate Haylee (his girlfriend) on a mission to Russia. He needed to write her lots of letters and used my computer to write them. I was very tricky and roped him in. . . :) 4 weeks into her stay in the MTC, it was March 15th. He came over to watch "the NET" one Friday night but I don't think we actually watched much of it. ;) It was a bit of an awkward send off at the SLC airport when we broke the news to Haylee. But, things turned out well for everyone! She had a great mission, and we were married long before she was home. Happy Anniversary! I can't believe how fast 10 years can fly by. . .

"Leperkon Jungle Jim"
Ethan came home with a fun assignment the other day. Make a leprechaun trap! This is right up his alley. He loves to make anything with paper and glue. He came up with the idea to make it a jungle gym with a slide, only once you go down the slide you're trapped by the construction paper wall! Even though he told me that leprechaun's are really strong and can lift up the sofa with one hand, he's sure this little contraption is going to get them. I guess they are going to set the traps around the classroom over the weekend and see what happens! I wonder if they will leave some of their gold!?!
