The Pine Wood Derby

Last night was the pinewood derby!  Aidan raced as a Bear this year.  Here is a picture of his car, the "duck car."  It was pretty fast!

Here is the dessert table I put together.  The kids LOVED the "spare tires."

 Here is Aidan's car flying down the track for his final race.  He won most of his heats and took 4th overall.

Heidi is such a dolly these days.  She is like our little family pet.  We sure love her to pieces!  I was going through the cameras today and found all these little snippets of our happy Heidi.  I put them together for you to enjoy.  We love our little Heidi Bear!

Sledding with the Rosses

This past Saturday, we ventured up to Mt. Hood to take the kids sledding.  Everybody had a great time!  Well, that is everybody but Heidi.  She thought the snow was terrible, horrible, no good, and very bad.  We spent about 30 minutes trying to help her enjoy it, and then I took her back to the van where she B-lined for her car seat and insisted she be buckled back up.  She took a nap there, and then later when she was up, I approached the car, opened the door and asked her if she wanted to come with me.  Back to the buckle!  She had found her safety zone and she was sticking with it!  Here is a little montage of everyone else's adventures. . .

My Little Geek

Ethan was thrilled to get a Rubiks Cube from Santa.  Since then, he has been watching YouTube videos to learn how to solve it.  Writing algorithms, taking notes, and memorizing patterns.

And, Voila!  He did it!  Great job buddy! 

  Sometimes my children shock me with what seems like fun to them.  I never would have gone after this one, but he was all over it.  Love it!
