I did it myself!

Chandler has recently discovered that it is much fun to run around with the big boys in the morning and get ready for pre-school while they get ready for school. He combs his hair, brushes his teeth, and if I'm really lucky, dresses himself. Sometimes this makes for interesting clothing combo's. This morning his choices were great! It was just the execution that was a little backwards. . .

Party on the Mountian

We have just returned from a glorious 4 days in the snow. We stayed at our favorite mountain "cabin" and had such fun with Grammy and Grampy, and the boys (all 5) skied their little hearts out. Here is the fearless group, ready to head out on Saturday. . .

And here is a little video for you to enjoy. You might notice that the big boys have become very quick! So quick in fact, that their out of practice mama had a hard time keeping up with the group. They are absolutely fearless. They had so much fun and are already talking about next year!


Meanwhile, back at the cabin, Grammy and Emilee (and sometimes Chandler and Mama) spent long but fun, full days. There were baths in the sink. . .

Followed by hair do's and snuggles.

More hair do's, tea parties, books,

10 minute hugs,

and when it was no fun to sleep in your crib, and mommy was away AGAIN, you could always sleep on Grammy.

After such days on the slopes, you've got to check out your videos at night. This picture made me smile.

Don't forget ice cream! When you're at ski camp, you eat like a king. But, you work it off on the slopes, right?

Thank you Grammy and Grampy for four splendid days! We all loved this trip and won't soon forget it!

Ahhhhh! I needed that!

Hello! I am back from four days of wonderful, much appreciated, lovely relaxation, rejuvenation, and fun! I almost didn't know what to do with all my free time, but I found ways to fill it, amazingly enough!

Day 1: Arrived in Burbank at about 11. After a nice lunch at home, and about an hour of kicking it around at my parents house, I started to go stir crazy. It was SO quiet. So, I decided to go take a run around the rose bowl and it's accompanying golf course. This was one of my favorite routes back in the day, and it was a fun thing to do. I took this terribly flattering photo of myself with my phone, with the Rose Bowl in the background so I could show Aidan. He was thrilled. There were people EVERYWHERE and the floats were going up, so it was a fun place to be.

Day 2. Sleep in. Go on a walk with mom. Take a nice long hot bath. So far so good! Then I headed out to Camarillo to meet my SIL who happens to also be my stylist! She gave me a much needed cut at her salon, where I sipped water with cranberries floating in it, and then we headed out for some lunch. After lunch, we went to the fabric warehouse that THIS online store is run out of. It was SO much fun. We were both overwhelmed with cuteness and just about couldn't stand it. Many a small dress will be made from this days purchases. It was heaven!

Then we did a little shopping for ourselves, where our best find was this dress, which I almost had to buy it was so cute. Alas, I have no where to wear it, and it was a bit much for church (it's silk). Would somebody have a wedding already?
The next two days I spent kicking around with mom, doing some window shopping, watching of Dog the bounty hunter (one of her favorite shows) and more kicking around. One fun thing we did was to go down the the "americana" (I think) in Glendale and ride the trolley around the town square. We ate delicious chocolate and strawberry crepes and had a great time!

As you can see, I had a marvelous time! And while I was away, the kids and Gordon had a great time too! I got periodic updates, such as these pictures below:

I enjoyed the updates and was glad to see them staying busy and having fun. Thanks for such a thoughtful Christmas present Gordon! And thanks to my parents for hosting! Maybe we should make this a tradition? :)
