Rover

This is Ethan's pet robot, Rover.  Ethan has trained him to do lots of tricks, but this week he trained him to follow the black line.  It was very tricky!  He could make the line in any pattern and Rover will go right where the line goes.  Ethan was very proud.  Great job my little robotics man!

My Heavenly Father Loves Me

Here is a video stealth-fully taken from the benches in the chapel today.  Ethan played this lovely piece for Father's Day today, and he knocked it out of the park.  We've had lots of people stop us today and say what a lovely job he did, and that they are so impressed with the spirit he was able to bring into the meeting. I am very pleased with the artistic side of his playing lately.  He can turn it on when he needs to and he did a beautiful job!  Enjoy!  And sorry you can't really see him, he's hiding behind the organ!

Father-Son/Daddy-Daughter

The past couple of weeks have included the father/son campout and the daddy/daughter campout for our ward.  Everyone had a great time.  Here are some photos of the fun from Gordon's phone. . .

A little mini golf on the way. . .

and a hike the next day.

And, the daddy daughter campout.  Emilee looked forward to this all week, and had a great time!  The yearly stop at Dairy Queen along the way seems to be turning into a tradition!

Push Ups

During a friendly family push up competition, Heidi got the idea and got right in on the action.  Maybe someday she'll be doing push ups as well as her big brother, Ethan.  He is definitely the push up champion at our house!

another little graduate

Emilee has had her last day of preschool!  Her cute little school does an over the top graduation ceremony with caps and gowns.  Emilee enjoys all things pomp and circumstance, so she ate it up.  Here are a few pictures!

The class:

Here is Emilee with teacher Nancy.  She was so sweet all year!
And a bouncy house to celebrate the end of school.  What more could you ask for?
Can't believe I'm sending this little love off to Kinder in the fall.  I'm going to miss her!  But, she is SO ready to go.  Ready to read, ready to ride the bus, ready for the fun!

2nd Place!

Today marked the end of baseball season!  Ethan has had some high moments and some low moments around baseball, and I'm not sure he's ready to sign up for next year, yet.  Only time will tell.  But, his little team, which was 0 and 9 just about 4 weeks ago, went on to make it from the last seed in the tourney, all the way to the league championships!  It was crazy!  They had quite a run and really started pulling together.  Unfortunately for us, the championship game fell on Sunday, and as a family we have decided we would not play sports on Sunday.  But, we did think it would be very appropriate to show up at the end of the game for the final award ceremony.  It was a nail biter to the end and these boys took second.  The score was 1-0.

Here is Ethan accepting his trophy, in his church clothes and ball cap.  There were two other boys from our ward who also skipped this game (on the other team) - you can see them there on the end.  The coaches were supportive of their decision and remarked when giving them their awards that they were the best dressed guys on the field.

Great job Lakeside Lumber!  We sure enjoyed watching you play this season!
