Soccer Saturdays

It's fall!  And that means Soccer!  This year Chandler hit the field again after a year off.  It has been so much fun to watch him, and how much he has grown over the past two years.  We let him play in first grade, which is basically just a "chase the ball" year.  This year he's got much more of a handle on the game, is faster, and much more tricky with the ball!  So fun.  He loves it when he scores a goal.  His team the Vikings are currently undefeated (much to his delight).

Aidan is also playing again this year, of course!  This is the first year they are playing on a full sized field.  It is huge!  It's a good thing I had my zoom lens with me or I never would have caught him in a picture.  The field is as big as a football field.  The boys are getting bigger too!  So much fun to watch.

 The boys are faster, stronger, and hit harder!  When they collide they go down hard, which is not so fun to watch as a mom.  But, usually there's just a little flopping to be done and then they're up and running again.

Hurray for Soccer Saturdays!  Hopefully these glorious sunny skies will hold and we'll never have to play in the mud this year!
