Happy Birthday Heidi Ann!

It's hard to believe it's been two years since she joined our family.  Our little Heidi Bear is the icing on our cake.  She turned two while we were still on vacation, so we held out for a little mini party at home.  Here you can see her opening her gifts.  She was so excited it was her turn!  She got several things we can use to play talking and animal sound games with her, which is what she needs to practice right now.

 And. . . this darling record player (just like mine when i was a kiddo!) from Grammy and Grampy.  It has been a huge hit with ALL the kids.  That's right.  ALL.  They, and especially Heidi love it.  It's so funny to me when they call it a "CD" player.  They literally don't know what a record is.

 And here we are about to enjoy her cake.  The ice cream cake felt like a failure and a success to me.  What kind of mother doesn't have the time to make a lovely birthday cake for her baby?  Well, I did have time to pick up a delicious one.  We'll have to take that!
