the Halloween Report '09

It was a wonderful Halloween here at the Wilde house! Having Halloween on Saturday was great fun, as we filled the day with Halloween anticipation! First, we carved our pumpkins!
Daddy did all the top chopping, and I became the official goop scooper.
Everybody got in on the action. Emilee even helped by dropping seeds into the trashcan from her perch.
Here are all the trick-or-treaters! This year we had R2D2 again, a cowboy (which was a last possible minute switch from Ninja - we're still not quite sure why), Captain Hook, and Super girl!
The little guys were so cute and excited! Chandler was quite the trick or treater. He made sure to chat it up with everyone on the porch with deep thoughts like, "wow! You gots a lots a candy!" "What happens if you run out of candy?" or maybe just "AAarrrggh!!!" After one lady said "ah!" to the Arg, he kept that one up for a while. That is until somebody Aaarrrgh-ed him back, and then he asked, "Why did you say aarrgh?" It was pretty entertaining.
And here is our little super girl. She was a great little trick or treater and tried very hard to worm her way up to the front of the candy line at every door. She's so little that she was often not seen until they were about ready to close the door and then "Oh! Look at the little super girl!" and she was given free reign over the candy bucket.
It was unseasonably warm yesterday, around 60 degrees and not raining a bit! Probably the best weather we've ever had for an OR Halloween. Happy Halloween!

So nice to see all the children feeling well and enjoying a fun day. Thanks for the pics! As always, I was thinking of you and your family last night as trick-or-treaters were knocking at my door.

Kat, you may be pleased to know they are ALL recycled costumes from years past. And while I did make most of them, not one was made this year!

Good to get caught up on you guys. We had a Darth Vader. Star Wars is in again.
